A second-half penalty from David Fitzpatrick earned Avro a deserved point which moved them out of the drop zone, but extended their winless run to eight.
There was little to choose between the two in the first period, but it was the visitors who led at the break after Joel Stair bundled home a corner from the right at the far post.
