STARLET OWEN IS UNITED’S SAVIOUR

TEENAGE sensation Ieuan Owen came off the bench to score twice for Barry Town United to help them overcome Connah’s Quay Nomads 3-2 to stay in the top half of the JD Cymru Premier table.
Kayne McLaggon latched on to a Sam Snaith pass to open the scoring. The Nomads hit back when Rhus Hughes levelled before Owen entered the fray in the 66th minute. He regained the lead for the Linnetts in the 74th minute but Hughes struck again to make it 2-2. But Owen turned matchwinner two minutes from the end of normal time.
