HASTINGS United returned to the Pilot Field to play a home league game after a wait of three months and were welcomed by a massive crowd of 1,336.
But Cray Valley proved to be party poopers as Michael Ademiluyi’s late goal took the points.
The game started incredibly slowly with no chances for either side until the 40th minute when Hastings keeper Louis Rogers was called into action.
