After a lot of early pressure, the visitors were awarded a free-kick in a promising position which was whipped in towards the back post where the unmarked Connor Smythe was waiting to head home from ten yards.
Town continue to pile on the pressure and were again rewarded just on the stroke of half-time when Bradley Dockerty fired home at the near post.
