■ EXMOUTH threw themselves on the line to preserve their narrow lead as Westbury pushed for a late leveller and came within a post’s width of snatching the equaliser.
Home striker Joe Beard-well set up Marcel Lewis, who finished well early on, but the goal ruled out. The only goal was scored after 14 minutes when Redman Evans made a great save to deny Nelson Iseguan, but Tom Bath smashed in the rebound.
The home side made a sloppy start to the second half, and Ben Griffith and Bath had good opportunities for Exmouth.
