■ BOOTLE claimed derby bragging rights with a win over City of Liverpool at the DCBL Stadium.
The Bucks went ahead when Kenzy O’Neill raced clear down the left and drew a great stop from Nick Michalski before Courtney Duffus tapped in.
They made it two shortly afterwards when a mistake at the back saw Ben Hodkinson race clear and coolly slot home.
The Bucks gifted the Purps a lifeline when confusion between Bell and goalkeeper Thompson afforded Mikey Howard an open goal to slot into.
