ASHINGTON and Carlton n played out an entertaining draw at Woodhorn Lane.
Carlton went ahead after 17 minutes when Lawrence Stewart Gorman hit a 30-yard screamer into the back of the net.
The reaction from Ashington was strong and when Josh Gilchrist was brought down in the box, he stepped up to take the resulting penalty which the Carlton keeper failed to keep out. Carlton went down to 10 men when Oliver Clark was penalised for an act of violent conduct.
