■ CONGLETON Town made it ten games unbeaten with a hard-fought win on the road against Stalybridge Celtic.
Stalybridge had a golden chance to take the lead from the penalty spot after 11 minutes when Lewis Rawsthorn was brought down by goalkeeper David Paton who redeemed himself by saving Liam Tongue’s penalty.
Congleton had a great chance of their own, Charlie Monks and the Celtic backline clearing three efforts all off the line from a dangerous corner.
