Ambers see off Matlock charge

BASFORD UNITED do not do things the easy way. They were 2-0up and cruising but, after the Gladiators pulled one back through Montel Gibson on 84 minutes, the Ambers spent the rest of the game defending what they had and only just got away with it.
The Ambers looked the bigger threat early in the game and made their early pressure count. Taylor Anderson rampaged down the right before squaring to Theo Hudson, who had an easy tap-in to give the hosts the early advantage.
