TWO goals from Connor Walker in the first 40 minutes-gave Heaton Stannington a vital victory over fellow strugglers Sherwood Colliery.
The first came after 23 minutes when Hooper did well to carry the ball out wide before it was played into the middle where Walker had time to steady himself before finding the back of the net.
Jacob Pearce should have equalised for Sherwood shortly afterwards, instead putting a header over the bar from close range.
