■SUTTON welcomed near neighbours Darlaston after a week off and a solid win against third-placed Worcester City.
A victory over Darlaston was crucial for Sutton’s playoff ambitions, as they sat just below their opponents, who were closer to securing a spot.
Sutton nearly took the lead from an early free-kick, Ryan Edmunds’ effort scraping the outside of a post. Darlaston began to grow into the game after Sutton’s early pressure, and took the lead in the 27th minute when Sutton failed to clear their lines, Lewis Gill pouncin...
