■ SITTINGBOURNE’S perfect home record was ended by a resolute Beckenham Town.
The home side dominated throughout but could not find a way through.
Becks skipper Rob Carter lead by example as wave after wave of Brickie’s attacks were blocked, cleared, or intercepted by a wall-like Beckenham defensive line.
The home side seeked a goal for all of their pressure and they came within inches of a goal when two efforts struck back off the woodwork.
