ASHFORD United won their first game of the new year with a comprehensive victory over neighbours Deal.
Hoops goalkeeper Adam Molloy was forced into action in the 23rd minute with a great save from Sam Smith.
But Ashford took the lead from the resultant corner when Craig Stone headed home.
The hosts began the second half very strongly. Harry Waldock scored the second in the 52nd minute from a Smith free-kick.
Stone added a third goal just three minutes later, again Smith was the provider.
