■HEDNESFORD’S hopes of securing a play-off spot were boosted with a narrow win at Bootle.
The visitors made their mark straight away with a goal from Akheem Rose within a minute of the game, leaving Bootle stunned after a nightmare start.
In a tight first half, Bootle shouted for a penalty but the referee disagreed with the claims and waved play on, with some disgruntled voices from the home fans who seemed certain their side should’ve been award-ed a spot-kick as the first half ended 1-0to Hednesford Town.
