■TRAFFORD edged past Newcastle Town and continued to help their play-off charge with a fine Rio Clegg double.
The North, now sitting two points off Stalybridge in the final play-off spot, opened the scoring just before the interval in this scrappy game.
The dangerous Clegg did excellently to seize upon a loose ball in the 42nd minute, before lofting a fine effort over home keeper Joseph Slinn with aplomb.
