A SECOND-half Westfield goal denied Guernsey a win to mark their new home, as a sell-out 2,207 fans crammed into Victoria Park.
The match was a scrappy affair, with chances and excitement rare. Field’s Andrew Crossley had the first shot, which Josh Addison tipped over, before Charlton Gauvin’s diagonal ball narrowly missed the Westfield far post.
In first-half stoppage time, Mikey Verga brought down Sam Murray in the area and Ross Allen sent Verga the wrong way for the first goal at the new ground.
