KEVIN Hayes’ superb strike esnured Stockton Town saw off Guiseley in Tuesday night’s semi-final, although claims that defender Adam Nicholson was ineligible to play following his sending off on Saturday are still being investigated by the NPL (see page 26).
Hayes fired home into the top corner from 18 yards out midway through the second half to settle a tense affair.
Worksop Town await the outcome of the NPL investigation after they saw off Ashton United 2-1 at the Windsor Stadium.
