Play-off lottery is now weighted

I’VE long been an advocate of the National League play-off system, but this year’s schedule has exposed their flaws.
Forest Green Rovers had to wait 16 days to play their semi-final – York City 15 days – and that played a major part in their defeats to teams who finished 15 and 23 points behind them respectively in the league.
Advantage has now been taken away from the teams who finish second and third.
