ANDY Whing returned to the midlands with League Two Barrow and was given a tough workout by the National League hosts.
Andy Peaks’ Tamworth ultimately lost but earned friendly plaudits with an organised and confident display in an enthralling battle.
Former Solihull Moors boss Whing had to deal with a well-known threat in Tamworth’s recent signing, Manny Duku, who fired just wide of the left hand post from the edge of the box midway through the first 45 minutes.
