■ LINCOLN United hearts broke after a single sucker-punch goal after 90 minutes, one which ensured Heaton started the league season with a home win.
Owen Vincent caused problems for the hosts early on, but couldn’t convert either of his two chances. Scott Fenwick also forced an excellent save from Lewis Brass, as the visitors pushed for an opening goal.
Heaton thought they had scored after 56 minutes, as Dan Stephenson’s double effort was eventually flagged offside.
