KOLA SALAMI’S winner just before the hour handed Carshalton a second league win of the season.
The hosts had won on the opening day at Cray Valley last weekend but narrowly lost at home to Lewes in midweek, so Peter Adeniyi’s men were hoping for a return to winning ways.
It was Billericay who started the better of the two sides as they tried to test Matt Kerbey in the home goal as much as they could.
The best chance saw Femi Akinwande force Kerbey into a fine save low down to his left with a powerful shot.
