Le Fondre decisive as hosts keep Lions quiet

FC UNITED of Manchester maintained their perfect start to the season, earning a hard-fought 2-0 win over Guiseley with goals in either have from Adam Le Fondre and Rudy Misambo.
They displayed solidity at the back as their visitors pushed to get something from the contest, one they began brightly but with no end product as their hosts’ backline held firm.
The Reds netted on 17 minutes when a cross struck the arm of a defender, Le Fondre then sent goalkeeper Joseph Cracknell the wrong way from 12 yards.
