■ LICHFIELD City produced a lively attacking display, but still fell to defeat to Sphinx.
Harvey Smith opened the game with a stunning 20-yard strike that cannoned in off the crossbar to give Coventry Sphinx the lead.
Jude Taylor was lively throughout, first seeing a cross land on the roof of the net before cutting inside for a blocked effort.
Sphinx responded well, their keeper pulling off a superb save to deny Andre Edwards after a deflection. Kyle Carey then doubled the lead with a spectacular 20-yard screamer.
