BURY slipped to a narrow defeat despite putting in a competitive performance against in-form Alvechurch.
The hosts had the first opportunity after seven minutes when George Quantrell broke through the defence, only to pulled to the ground by Nile Tim-son just outside the area.
After 20 minutes, Alvechurch had a chance of their own when a corner was palmed away by Charlie Beckwith to Sam Perry, whose blasted strike was blocked by Lewis O’Malley.
