Steels pick up first win of season

STOCKSBRIDGE Park Steels finally won their first match of the season against Whitby Town.
Set-pieces were key to the hosts’ success.
Aston Ellard earned a free-kick after being pushed over near the box, allowing Kurtis Turner’s effort to be headed in at the near post.
Not long after, a Danny Deakin corner took a deflection before falling to debutant Ben Jordison.
He smashed it seemingly to be blocked on the line, but the linesman adjudged it to have crossed the line.
