GLOUCESTER City saw off a late barrage of Basingstoke Town attacks to protect their lead, returning top of the table.
Joe Hanks grabbed a goal and assist while Aaron Wildig’s first goal for the club proved to be the decisive moment with Robbie Gallagher netting a late consolation.
The hosts started dominantly and demonstrated how to attack with pure efficiency as Kieran Thomas pinged a long diagonal ball up towards Harry Emmett who then picked out Hanks in the middle for the opener.
