CLITHEROE claimed a narrow victory over Newcastle Town at Shawbridge, needing a second-half penalty to finally break the deadlock against stubborn opposition.
The hosts shaded a goalless first half, creating several chances but finding visiting keeper Joseph Slinn in inspired form.
