■IT was a happy homecoming for former Bashley favourite Chris Knowles, now manager of Hartpury’s group of aspiring football stars, who edged up to third place in the table on the back of a solid second-half display.
Bashley, edged the first half without breaking through, but fell apart after the break. First Louis Manning and then Billy Osborn showed the way to finish.
While Hartpury, whose academy squad has an average age little more than 20, lifted their game, in contrast, Bashley ran right out of luck.
