Southend United boss Kevin Maher was a happy man after his side sealed their first league victory over Morecambe at the 13th attempt.
First-half goals from Slavi Spasov and Ben Goodliffe and an injury-time strike from Josh Walker earned the Shrimps a third successive win as the Shrimps stayed rooted to the foot of the table.
