■SHIFNAL Town climbed into the play-offs places after extending a winning sequence to three matches.
As he had done at Runcorn Linnets seven days earlier, Kevin Monteiro put the Shropshire side in front against Mossley – this time sweeping past goalkeeper Fin Madigan from inside the area.
The Lilywhites, buoyed by a midweek victory against Bury, hauled themselves level through Reece Webb-Foster shortly after the interval.
However, parity lasted only for five minutes, and Matthew Barnes-Homer converted calmly from the penalty spot.
