■ RYAN Smith was the hero as MK Irish came out on top in a seven-goal thriller.
George Shrieves gave MK Irish the lead after just eight minutes when he fired in a fierce volley from 25 yards.
London Lions got back on level terms when Jack Mattey fired in a powerful strike past Tom Ladyman three minutes later.
MK Irish retook the lead before half-time when Clinton Zawe’s cross fell to JJ Meadows, who swept in from ten yards.
Meadows got his brace with a strong finish into the roof of the net straight after the restart to make it 3-1.
