■ HENDON had to work very hard to overcome relegation-threatened Horndean.
Keagan Cole came closest to breaking the first-half deadlock, after 35 minutes, his effort coming off a post. Niko Muir tried to score on the rebound but couldn’t keep the ball down.
After the break, Cole looked the most likely scorer, going close twice.
