GRIMSBY Borough edged a fiercely contested battle to secure a priceless three points.
The opening stages set the tone for a competitive encounter, with both sides trading early chances.
Bishop Auckland came close early on, but Grimsby’s keeper reacted brilliantly before a defender swept the danger clear.
