PORTISHEAD continued their impressive start to life in the Southern League with a commanding and thoroughly deserved win over their Wiltshire hosts.
Kyle Egan opened the scoring inside five minutes with a composed finish, and Melksham’s task became even harder when midfielder Nathan Davis was shown a red card for a reckless challenge as he tried to halt a swift Portishead break.
Aron Robbins doubled the lead before half-time, firing in from close range after the hosts failed to clear a corner.
