Nzuzi’s late finish settles nervy duel

GULLS twice led but could only pick up a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Carshalton Athletic at the Steve Taxis’ Stadium.
During an even game in which both had spells of pressure, Canvey were pegged back by the Robins -finishing the strongest through Noah Etienne Nzuzi’s late equaliser, five minutes from time.
Canvey flew out of the blocks, breaking the deadlock after three minutes as their in-form forward Max Fiddes chased down Matas Skarna’s flicked pass before lobbing an onrushing Matt Kerbey.
