JACK Meeres’ first goal of the season capped a fine individual display as Burgess Hill Town left it late to secure a 2-1 away win at Welling United.
Welling levelled three minutes into the second-half, Leo Young’s low cross caused havoc as Hamish Morrison stretched to get in front of John Ufuah but guided the ball into his own net.
At both ends, defenders made brilliant last-ditch tackles to deny their oppo-time, the visitors were ahead after Stefan Vukoje broke down the right and Box bundled home at the near post.
