Maxwell, 41, led the Step 4 Brickies on a mesmeric run of eight matches to the quarter-finals – beating six higher-ranked sides on the way – only to be finally stopped in their tracks by eventual winners Aldershot Town.
This year, the Isthmian South East promotion chasers have followed that up with wins over Step 3 pair Hashtag United and Cray Valley PM to reach the second round – and Maxwell, for one, is relishing the prospect of another glory run.
