A ROUTINE win for Hanley Town saw them progress to the third round of the FA Vase for just the second time in their history at the expense of visitors Kimberley Miners Welfare.
The north Staffordshire side last made round three in 2020, although they have played at Step 3 since then.
In what was a scrappy first half, Hanley took control of the match and eventually led on 21 minutes when a free-kick was awarded for handball, and Jack Van Der Laan stepped up and whipped the ball in. It evaded everyone in the box and nestled into the corner...
