DANNY Lloyd struck twice as Southport edged out ten-man Buxton in an entertaining Trophy tie.
Luke Brennan created the first opportunity for the Bucks after 11 minutes when his ball across the box almost found the run of striker Tai Sodje.
Soon after, Southport took the lead following a quick counter-attack. A pass from Mo Touray found Malakai McKenzie, who cut inside before curling his effort into the net.
