The best chance of the first half went the way of the visitors as Oli Spooner’s long throw fell to Dan Trendall in the area.
His effort was blocked and Tobias Braney saw his flicked attempt from close range denied by Sam Howes.
Luck seemed to be on the side of the Dockers, when Dagenham were reduced to ten on the hour mark as George Marsh was given his marching orders for a late challenge on Jack Hayes.
