Jack Wood has cemented his place in Aylesbury United history after breaking the club’s record appearance maker.
Since making his debut as a 17-year-old loanee from Luton Town in March 2010, Wood has gone on to make 670 appearances for the Ducks, breaking the record of Cliff Hercules in Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Welwyn Garden City.
Starting initially as a midfielder before converting into a centre-back, Wood has always stayed true to the green and whites, turning down lucrative offers to move elsewhere.
