■ SAM BAYLY’S first-half brace secured back-to-back wins for Bourne Town to lift them out of the bottom four.
Bayly scored directly from a corner and then fired in from long range before Tobenna Ikegwuono netted a late consolation for the Scholars, as they replaced their opponents in the relegation places.
The Wakes started strongly and it took a sharp save from Scholars keeper Jude Sadler to keep out Robbie Ellis’ header.
