LINCOLN United extended their gap over the bottom four with an important win against Blyth Spartans to push them away from the relegation zone.
The first half was a cagey affair due to the conditions of the Ashby Avenue pitch, and neither side was the aggressor, but the away side finished the half the better of the two, with a good spell in the last 15 minutes of the half.
