■ JACOB Lambert struck twice in the opening 18 minutes to set Sheppey on their way to victory, despite playing half the game with no recognised goalkeeper.
He opened the scoring after nine minutes and doubled the lead and his tally nine minutes later from the penalty spot. Dan Bradshaw made it three before half-time when he was first to react to the loose ball after home goalkeeper Charlie Holmwood saved Lambert’s shot.
Sheppey goalkeeper Adam Molloy picked up an injury and was replaced by midfielder Billy Bennett at the interval.
