■ BIGGLESWADE TOWN had to work hard to beat ten-man Enfield, leaving the Es bottom of the table, while moving to within two points of the playoff spots.
The Waders took the lead just past the quarter-hour, Ebenezer Kufour beating George Edgeworth from close range. Jack Berman made two good saves to preserve the Biggleswade lead and, in first-half stoppage time, Harrison Rookard doubled their advantage.
The Es halved their deficit eight minutes after the resumption, George Sykes turning in Stan Valentine’s cross. Things got harder for Enfiel...
