DOSWELL ACCEPTS DEFEAT AFTER FLOODLIGHT FAILURE

SHOLING boss Paul Doswell says he would have “no qualms” if the Southern League were to award Walton & Hersham the points from their abandoned game in midweek.
The Premier South fixture was called to a halt after 62 minutes on Tuesday night due to a floodlight failure at The Mortgage Decisions Stadium with visiting Walton leading 4-1.
It prompted the Boatmen to issue a statement the following day apologising to the Surrey club and revealing that they are due to have new floodlights installed next month.
