HALESOWEN shared the points with Kettering in an exciting contest. Early action saw home goalkeeper Dan Platt save smartly at the feet of Eddie Panter in the 19th minute and Kettering keeper Jason Alexander made a good save to keep out Jim Kellermann’s 20-yard shot a minute later.
The Yeltz went closer still in the 36th minute when captain Josh Smile played the ball through to Jason Cowley and he twisted around the last defender, only for Alexander to make a splendid one-handed save.
