■THE top-three clash between Shildon and Kendal Town brought seven goals as the Railwaymen almost through away a four-goal lead.
Shildon were in cruise control after first half goals from Jon Weirs, Gary Brown and Andrei Ardelean were added to by Luke Spalding. A late surge from the Mintcakes saw Noah Sawkins, James Bailey and Jack Milburn all score but Shildon held on for a big three points.
Three games fell victim to waterlogged pitches, including Whitley Bay whose home game against Horden CW was called off after the warm-ups.
