OFF the back of goals from both the old and new guard, Sholing overcame being pegged back to claim a second consecutive home win. Sholing bossed possession in the first ten minutes but couldn’t challenge Gerard Benfield, the closest being Jake McCarthy’s attempted overhead kick.
Brad Targett, who got his head in between the rising defenders, finally broke the deadlock after half an hour, with the goal going in Sholing’s favour.
