■ HEATON Stannington walloped Bridlington Town to give the visiting supporters some early Christmas cheer.
Only five minutes were on the clock when the deadlock was broken as Andrew Burn struck from the edge of the area after a cut-back from Dale Pearson.
Pearson then got on the scoresheet when a long ball was flicked into his path and he had a controlled finish to place it into the bottom corner just two minutes before the break.
